Lunatics are similar to designated hitters. Often an entire family is crazy, but since an entire family can't go into the hospital, one person is designated as crazy and goes inside. Then, depending on how the rest of the family is feeling that person is kept inside or snatched out, to prove something about the family's mental health.

There is always divorce, death, drunkenness, drug abuse and whatnot in any of several permutations. I mean, is there anybody out there who doesn't think her family is dysfunctional?
Creo que en algún modo debería agradecer que estos libros llegaran a mi vida ahora y no en otros momentos donde podrían haber quizás quedado más impregnados en mí pero también dejado otras cicatrices más marcadas.
